Virtual Southeast Asia Phage Workshop

Note: This post is over a year old and is kept for archival purposes.

By 2050 antimicrobial resistant (AMR) infections are expected to kill 10 million people each year – 5 times more than the global COVID-19 death toll in 2020. Almost 90% of those AMR deaths will occur in the developing world. To address this, Phages for Global Health is teaching scientists in Southeast Asia how to develop cheap, naturally occurring antibiotic alternatives – phages – that are effective against antibiotic-resistant bacteria

When: Five Wednesday in March 2022 (online)
