Prayers are requested for Giovanni Tampus, who passed last Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 5:00 PM at age 47 after 26 years of service with Xavier University. He was born on 26 March 1969 and was employed at XU starting 1 June 1990.

 

He was a in-charge of the microbiology laboratory of the biology department and a part time teacher in microbiology. He was also active with the Xavier Center for Culture and Arts. He was also the current treasurer of the PSM Mindanao Chapter and is a life time member of the organization.

 

The wake is at his residence, 11-21 St. Nazareth Cagayan de Oro City. The body of Gio will be brought to the University Church on 18 May 2016 at 8:00 AM for public viewing and a mass will follow at 11:00 AM. His body will be brought to Divine Shepherd for cremation at 1:00 PM.

 

He is survived by his wife Dr. Annielyn D. Tampus who is the current vice president of PSM MIndanao Chapter and Dan Nigel their son.
