The Department of Biological Sciences and Institute of Graduate of Central Luzon State University (CLSU) along with the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. hosted the “SCIENTIST-IN-FOCUS CONFERENCE SERIES 1” with a theme Food Safety from Fish Parasites to Human Infection last August 17, 2012 at the IGS Minitheater Central Luzon State University. The event was graced by PSM Board Members Prof. Olivia C. Emata and Prof. Howell T. Ho. The invited scientist is Dr. Karl Marx A. Quiazon who is currently a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Tokyo Japan. 95 participants attended this lecture series wherein 33 new PSM members were inducted.
