Presentation1 The Philippine Academy of Microbiology (PAM), the accreditation arm of the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. (PSM), administered its accreditation examination for Registered Microbiologist last December 1 and 2, 2012 at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.   Eighteen (18) qualified PSM members took the examination. Exam passers earn the title Registered Microbiologist (RM) after their oath-taking. They must take their oath as Registered Microbiologist within the year, either during the PSM annual convention or during one of its cluster symposia. The PAM Board of Examiners is chaired by Dr. Virginia C. Cuevas with Dr. Ma. Luisa G. Daroy, Prof. Edward A. Quinto, and Dr. Franco G. Teves as members. PAM is now accepting applications for next year’s accreditation examination.
