The 38th Annual Convention and Scientific Meeting of the Philippine Society for Microbiology, Inc. (PSM) is slated on May 14-15, 2009 at the HYATT Hotel and Casino Manila in Malate, Manila Philippines. The PSM Convention is the biggest annual gathering of microbiologists in the Philippines. PSM cordially invites submission of scientific technical papers for both oral and poster presentations. Nominations for the Outstanding Microbiologists and the William L. Fernandez Excellence in Teaching and Service Awards are also welcome. PSM also invites companies to present and communicate the latest products, technologies and innovations in microbiology through sponsorships and commercial exhibits during the convention.

Due to insistent public demand, the NEW DEADLINES for pre-registration and the submission of abstracts and full papers for technical oral and poster presentation are as follows:

* Submission of Abstracts and Full Papers: MARCH 31, 2009
* Pre-Registration: MARCH 31, 2009

Accepted papers will be notified on or before April 13, 2009.
The last day for Cancellation and Refund has been revised to April 13, 2009 as well.
